Yoga, meditation, mindfulness...
She was featured in RTE’s Nationwide as a teacher who “exudes the calmness she aims to instil in her students.”
Her ability to blend yoga with mindfulness meditation allows her to offer accessible yoga and meditation to all levels and abilities. She is the lead teacher trainer in Yoga Hub’s 200 hour teacher training programme. She travels the world teaching on retreats with Exotic Yoga Retreats; this year's destinations include Budapest and Mexico. She has developed online versions of her most popular Hatha Yoga and Yoga Nidra classes and has developed Corporate Meditation, a program that delivers meditation classes in the workplace. Corporate partners Mc Nulty Performance deliver wellness programmes to workplaces and athletes in Ireland and worldwide.
Sylvia’s love of teaching and commitment to her students is apparent in her classes. Attention to detail in language and thoughtful sequencing encourages students to be mindful in body and breath. The goal is to still the mind; the result is a deep sense of lasting calm. Each student is encouraged to focus their awareness on aspects relevant to them, at that moment, always seeking self-knowledge and acceptance.
Current studies include an immersion deeper into MBSR Mindfulness in preparation for a Masters In Mindfulness in UCD next academic year.
Sylvia posts regular meditation tips on her facebook page at www.facebook.com/sylviasyogapage.
