What's new in Yoga, November 2027
Dear Yoga Friends,
How lucky are we to have our regular yoga classes in our amazing venues, there’s nothing like the weekly or twice-weekly yoga to keep a spring in our steps! Our classes will continue exactly as they are for the foreseeable future with all classes offering drop-in spaces and flexiblity to change your usual day for now. The next pinch-point is January but we don’t need to worry about that now, everyone coming now is guaranteed a space in January classes.
So, what’s new?! Yoga adventures with Sylvia come closer to home as we have workshops in both Dublin and Sligo to contemplate. Dublin on Sunday 13th December in YogaHub and Sligo on 6th February will include a deep-dive into both an academic learning, and an immersive experience, around the power of the breath. Darren Roche will be teaching with me and is an expert in Functional Breathing. Sligo could be for a night, or a weekend away, as we have planned hotels, food and sauna/spa experiences to compliment the yoga. As you all know I love nothing more than a good adventure, especially with yoga friends, so please start dropping hints to your loved ones about your preferred Christmas presents this year, and please pencil in 12.30-3pm on 13th December to indulge yourself in a little town/yoga experience. Both workshops are open for booking now and early booking is much appreciated. All the links to book everything coming up are on the Events and Workshops page of the website, or go straight to Yoga Hub’s website or chat to me any time about bookings.
I’m teaching a bit here and there in Yoga Hub on Camden Street, please keep an eye on my Instagram page for announcements of upcoming classes. It’s lovely to experience yoga in the beautiful studio and in one of my favourite parts of town.
Locally I’m starting a Friday morning class for Arthritis Ireland in The Park Community Centre, that will need to be booked directly with them. It’s mostly chair yoga, with an option for a bit of mat and standing, and suitable for everyone.
There’s talk of starting a class for the secondary school students on Thursday evenings in The Park Community Centre at 5.30pm, I’d love any thoughts on this and welcome any enquiries. The idea arose from a parent concerned about her son’s ongoing injuries on the football pitch, and I know from my friends with school-aged children injuries can be an ongoing problem for our wonderful strong, competitive young athletes. The class will also (secretly) be a de-stressor for them, a breath-awareness, nervous-system-regulating experience, so I think it will suit the high-achieving academics too. Again, please reach out with your thoughts and questions around this.
In other news I will selling the beautiful ‘Save The Hellfire’ calendars at all yoga classes from now on, just ten euro and they are especially gorgeous this year. This is our tenth year at this cause and I am so proud of all we have done to delay the project which sadly, is still pushing ahead. Currently there are legal enquiries around tree-felling licenses. My other charitable cause is the NSCPA where I have recently trained as a dog-walker for the dogs ready for re-homing, a job I absolutely adore. Honestly, it’s one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. You’ll see me with the gang in Dundrum shopping centre closer to Christmas doing the shaky-box thing!
As always, I’m available for Corporate Events, a recent client Food Cloud had a few events for their staff in The Priory Market in Tallaght and it was a huge success. We had fun, they learnt loads, everyone loved it. All events can be curated to suit a particular team, this amazing group were bursting youth and vitality!
Please get in touch about any of this, I always welcome your comments, questions and suggestions.
X Sylvia.
