Yoga Nidra for Hearth and Mind at the Yoga Hub

As yoga teachers we nurture from the ground up. We provide our students with a solid base, a support, and from there we encourage them to expand and thrive and grow.

Hearth and Mind is a small Dublin-based charity founded 12 years ago to provide homes for people with a mental health disability within which they can feel safe and secure as tenants. They act as benevolent landlords, not interfering in their tenant’s lives. They proudly tell me that not one of their residents in 12 years has been back in a psychiatric hospital.

They have just purchased their forth house and are dependent entirely on donation for furnishing it. Four lucky new tenants will be moving in shortly, moving away from homelessness and despair.

I see it every day walking into the Yoga Hub in Dublin City Centre, the despair of people living on the streets. We know the importance of having the basics of warm, safe shelter without judgement, just absolute support. As teachers we love to watch people thrive when they feel safe, accepted and supported, it’s what we have dedicated our lives to doing. Hearth and Mind is our charity partner this Christmas at the Yoga Hub, we would love your support.
